I discovered Neon NiteClub by chance whilst listening to one of the playlists created by Jamendo staff. Neon NiteClub is a retro synthpop+synthwave band from Orlando Florida. They also create remixes of work by other bands such as one of Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off” that has been floating around the interweb.

Beauty and the Beats offers ten sexy synthpop dance tracks that are inspired by the 80’s danceclub. It is an odd album in that it somehow manages to create the 80’s edge whilst still sounding vibrant and new. That is definitely a difficult balance, but Neon Niteclub does it well. Looking for some music to make out and grind to? This album also provides it is spades, such as UFO.
Anyway, I highly recommend folks to check out the album out. I downloaded it via Jamendo, but it is also available via online stores such as Bandcamp and iTunes. I look forward to reading your own comments if you do decide to check out the album and the artist.

Have any other music recommendations? Feel free to post relevant links below. Note that it might take me a little while to address them though given that NaNoWriMo begins tomorrow. If you are also participating in NaNoWriMo this year, I wish you the best of luck with your own project and invite you to add me over at the NaNoWriMo website via a link in the blogroll.
