Provider: Open 2 Study (Australia) [course page]
Lecturer: Debra Lunt
Subject: Teaching / Communications
Delivery: Intake-based asynchronous study
Completion Date: 08/26/2013

Description: Debra Lunt offers training in various training methods as they apply to adult learners, with special attention to blended delivery. She offers up a few activities and numerous techniques for creating a more accessible learning environment for students.

Strengths: Debra Lunt has plenty of experience in teaching under her belt, showing numerous techniques and activities that can be applied to a classroom setting. Her speech is clear, her material directed and relevant to the subject she is teaching. She even interview a chap to discuss his own teaching environment and the various issues he has to deal with.
Weaknesses: Debra showed the tell-tale signs of being nervous during the first few modules. Once she adjusted, the middle symptoms eased off.

Conclusion: Though I didn’t get as much out of Debra’s teaching as I did for some other courses, I can certainly see other people benefiting from the various things that she covered during the course. And once she got over the apparent anxiety of being in front of a camera rather than a class of people, I found her delivery to be a lot more relaxed.
