Epik High is a popular South Korean Hip Hop outfit composed of TabloMithra Jin and DJ Tukutz.  These guys certainly know how to mix things up, giving the listener a little bit more leading up to DJ Tukutz & Mithra Jin’s military service. Their newest release shows a new step in their evolution as a group.

Epilogue is their 2010 release, a collection of some smooth tunes that range from short but beefy instrumental pieces such as Blossom, the Gorillaz-esque Wordkill, Hip Hop awesomeness of Skin and R&B sweetness of Coffee. This album has a positive vibe to it, encouraging the listener to push through obstacles towards a higher purpose through well-crafted lyrical stories. Though the music of Epik High is quite positive as a whole, there is enough grit to make the virtues palatable.

This album and other releases by this group can be purchased wherever good music is sold online. In the meantime, you can watch music for the second track of the album, here.
