When I first chatted to Michael Bekemeyer over twitter several months back, he struck me as an intelligent, creative and highly talented dude. However, with all of his ingenuity and talent, he ran into financial problems with a movie project. When his host of online and offline friends heard of the issue, one of them suggested that some writers band together to create an anthology of short stories to help fund the project. The idea was jumped on in the following days as the community at large discussed how to deal with editing and submissions in general.
Farrago is the product of these numerous authors banding together to help a friend pursue his dream, an anthology of short stories by 17 talented authors in numerous genres. The book edited by the lady of horror Jennifer Hudock, who also has the story Skin as one of the offerings. The book is evidence of how people can work together to try to bring a dream into reality, and even though the funds are still a work-in-progress, it is pretty inspiring.
