Music Video – Solid Rock (Live) by Goanna

When Goanna came out with the following song in the early 80’s, it brought issues facing the Australian Aboriginal community into the mainstream. It was also a great song with great performances and songwriting to tell the story of the European invasion. The clip itself is from a performance on the now-defunct (yet at the time quite popular) Countdown, which I used to watch without fail with my brothers and sisters.

  4. Love Goanna, a great song! Lead singer Shane Howard has just released a new album called ‘ Goanna Dreaming’ which takes me back over 30 years, I have just purchased the album and I recommend it, if you liked Goanna, it can be purchased from Shane’s website which is http://www.shanehoward.com.au, thanks for the video!

    • Hehe. Apparently Shane just performed in Eumundi for the tour. I can’t help but smile over that, as so many artists forget these wonderful heartland towns. It says a lot about a musician when they are willing to go to the smaller communities to give a show. ::heart::
